Egypt will soon witness a very specific medical advancement as a group of private labs are set to open the first umbilical cord blood bank before the end of the year. Working to join the ranks of international life sciences research, the pioneering laboratories of Sherif Naseh Amin (SNA Labs) in collaboration with a team of gynecologists and laboratory equipment company HVD Life Sciences, have finally, after a year and a half of lobbying, won approval from the Ministry of Health and Population to open a private cord blood bank.
